Why I left Maze

Why I Left Maze

After 25 years at Maze, I decided to shift away from clinical management and practice to focus on speaking and writing about the broader issues that have motivated me throughout my career: feminism, women’s health, and the acceptance of pleasure.

In 1997, I was privileged to join with Dr. Michael Werner to help establish the Women’s Center at Maze. Over that time, we built the largest independent women’s sexual health center in the U.S., and became an international thought leader in the field. Having achieved these lasting contributions in our community and in the practice of biopsychosocial sexual health, the time has come for me to open a new chapter in my life, and to pass the privilege of serving as our Clinical Director on to a new a generation of leadership.
