There is probably nothing quite as mystifying to therapists than dealing with clients sex lives. We don’t always understand why it doesn’t come up more often, the best way to bring it up and how to respond when patients raise common, but very distressing, problems. Perhaps most importantly, we wonder if we are capable of handling a myriad of sexual issues if they should arise. Well, I have faith that with a bit of know-how and supervision, you can become more comfortable, more approachable and feel more confident dealing with sexual issues.
